The first is from Cottage Fabrics in Lubbock, designed by Jane West and the only one I have from Texas so with my love of that great state I just had to make it. Windmills dot the countryside in TX. to pump water to tanks for the cattle hence they are featured in this row. It is called O. Aquifer, not sure why, friends picked it up for me on their travels this summer and I am just happy to have it.
The green rick rack represents grass and the blue of course the aquifer.
This next is from The Running Stitch in Ontario, a very cute row looking a lot like a Hawaiian design.
The pattern called for two different fabrics for the waves but I did not like the effect of the two I would have to use so I pulled it apart and fortunately had sufficient of one to make all the waves from it. The curved triangles are still pinned because I do not have matching thread with me. I like it a lot and now have just one more that I really want to make, The Capital, featuring the Lincoln Memorial. Not having the necessary fabrics with me it will have to wait until I return to AZ, meantime I have a cute flannel quilt I can work on tomorrow when I go to visit with Gale for the day while DH is off flying into the wild blue yonder!
I like these! Now that I have finished the baby quilt, and delivered it, I need to get back to my row by row bag of patterns and kits! I need to finish up the one from Quilter's Oasis that gave me such fits when I was in NC. Afraid I will have to go get more fabric. Darn. lol
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteLove waves and the windmills. Beautiful blues.
Have a great day!
I love these rows! The cathedral windows effect on the waves is brilliant. (Now I'm feeling guilty for not getting to my rows in a long time!)
ReplyDeleteTwo more lovely rows. I am amazed at the differences in the rows from the various shops.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with Needlework Tuesday.
