To be sure my new daughter-in-law knows that I understand she is now the number one woman in her husband's life, when I present her with an apron and a note that says:
"Here are the apron strings"…...
it is clear I have stepped down from my pedestal!
that is really very thoughtful. I try to be a gracious mother-in-law and tell my DIL the things I would have like to have heard. My MIL could use some lessons is decorum.
