Here's another QOV, a scrap log cabin from Donna in AZ. It will go back to her for binding, label and laundering before going to a wounded warrior.
Quilted with a neutral thread and freehand peacock feathers.
Donna provided a lovely cream Pima cotton for the backing, it shows up the quilting design!
Dadgum Ros... you are GOOD. I am always in awe of your designs and your color combos...
ReplyDeleteI love the darker fabrics going catty-cornered like that... since it's a QOV can I say it looks like Jeep tracks?
I'm getting back to the blogging world so expect me back more often.
hugs....
It's just beautiful! You really have to look at it a while, because there are so many facets to this quilt...the zig-zag diagonals, the log cabins, the colors. Very nice! I know the solider will be most appreciative. Thanks for sharing. Happy Sewing! :o)
ReplyDeleteI love the colors Ros. Just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThese soldiers are so lucky that there are people in the world like you and Donna.
Quilt design and quilting are both gorgeous! It's wonderful that a soldier will receive this beautiful quilt. I hope it will bring a little light into their journey.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt! The front is so sweet and the back is simply gorgeous!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Ros, this is simply gorgeous! I like the corners, and the way the main part of the quilt just seems to let the mind wander down different pathways....
ReplyDeleteI'm sure that the soldier it's bound for, will treasure this forever!
