More Row-ing In The Mountains

This week we are in Colorado mountains enjoying the Fall weather and a bit of snow on the higher elevations.
I just spent a few days with my very talented long armer friend Gale on their farm, sewing on my rows while she was on the LA.
This row is very cute, but if you decide to make it be prepared for the lack of directions and inaccuracy of the cutting measurements. I had to fudge the construction, deconstruct and resew and even cut new pieces so it took me about two days to finally get to the stage below, argh! There are a few little seagulls scattered around some placed to cover up the areas where I had no choice but to lose a point off a triangle due to poor cutting instructions, it was a major challenge to get a simple design together.
Due to these issues there was insufficient of the cloud sky fabric and I have decided to leave it without borders for the time being, it's about 9"x36" and adding the borders would make it much larger than any of the other rows so I will wait and see how they all go together. It needs a border I think but as yet size is an unknown.
The miniature Underground Railroad quilt above has been on my design board about two years awaiting quilting so my sweet friend Gale quilted it for me, isn't it lovely?
The quilting shows so nicely on the back and I am very grateful and happy I can take it home, bind and label it and find a place to hang it, thank you Gale!
This next row came from TN it is called "See Chattanooga" but the pattern doesn't appear to give the name of the quilt shop so if any reader knows it please leave me a message so I can give credit.
It is constructed with raw edge applique and "made" fabric, scraps sewn together until the piece is large enough to cover the area. The blue wavy line represents the river and the triangles are hang gliders, the blues above are the sky and the area below is the land, I think my land must be a very tropical place!
My current row projects are from The Running Stitch in Ontario and People, Places and Quilts, in Summerville SC., I have all the applique cut for the former so construction tomorrow should be a cinch!

The hang gliders came from Spool. A very neat small quilt shop in old rejuvenated area of Chattanooga.
